Welcome to Casablanca! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a personal English-speaking driver and then be transferred to your hotel. On the way, you will pass through the landmark of Casablanca – Hassan II Mosque. After checking into the hotel, the rest of the day is yours for free. After breakfast, take a private vehicle to Rabat, the capital of Morocco that owns plenty of charm. Visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah des Oudaias first, which was originally constructed in the 12th century for defense purposes. Nowadays it becomes a popular sight with blue and white walls, exotic gardens and some seaside cafes.
Next, explore the Hassan Tower, the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Royal Palace. The Hassan Tower was intended to be built as the largest minaret in the world but stopped as the patron Yaqub al-Mansur died. You can visit the incomplete minaret while learning the story behind it. As the tour draws to an end, make your way to explore the bazaars in the old medina of Rabat.
Head out to Meknes after breakfast. As one of the four imperial cities in Morocco, Meknes may not as much famous as the others, but it has its own attraction and beauty. Take some time to explore the ancient medina for an authentic experience of the traditional Moroccan lifestyle.
Not far from Meknes, lies Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis. Wander the expansive complex, exploring the still-intact columns of former buildings, large merchant homes, temples, and the colorful mosaics. Afterward, continue your journey to Fez for overnight.
Leave the busy city behind and take a private vehicle to Erfoud for your Sahara Desert Safari. Over the high mountain pass of Col du Zad (about 2,178m over the sea level), you will pass through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountains and see many Berber villages made up of traditional mud-brick buildings.
Stop at Midelt, also known as the Apple City, for lunch and then continue your journey to Erfoud. Take a 4×4 vehicle and be driven into the desert of Merzouga. Ride a camel into the dunes, try sandboarding and immerse yourself in the golden dunes at sunset. Return to Erfoud for the night.
