Experience the enchanting beauty of the Nile with a relaxing Felucca ride in Aswan. Enjoy a serene journey aboard a traditional Egyptian sailboat, taking in the refreshing river breeze as you navigate around Elephantine Island and visit the renowned Botanical Gardens.
In the late afternoon, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and escort you to the Nile, where your Felucca awaits. Step aboard and settle into the soft cushions, allowing the tranquility of the Nile—an essential lifeline of Egypt since Pharaonic times—to wash over you. Savor a cool drink as you gently glide along the river.
Your Felucca will sail to the Aswan Botanical Garden, also known as Lord Kitchener's Island. This picturesque island was gifted to Lord Horatio Kitchener in the 1890s when he served as the commander of the Egyptian army. Driven by his passion for horticulture, Lord Kitchener transformed the island into a stunning botanical garden, importing exotic plants from the Far East, India, and Africa. Spanning 6.8 hectares, the gardens are a paradise filled with an array of remarkable trees and plants, complete with scenic walkways.
As you stroll through the gardens, admire the majestic Royal Palm, Sabal Palm, Date Palm, Ficus trees, and vibrant Bougainvillea. After your leisurely exploration, you will embark on your return journey, taking in the breathtaking sunset as it casts a warm glow over the Botanical Island, Elephantine Island, and the ancient Tombs of the Nobles—creating a spectacular reflection of the sand dunes on the Nile.
After this idyllic experience, return to the Nile side and enjoy a transfer back to your hotel in Aswan.
